Blotting Paper, Unsized — Pack of 25

Description

Heavy unsized blotter for drying work under weight, interleaving in the press and controlling moisture in a humidity pack. Unsized is the specification: a sized sheet resists the water it is supposed to be taking up, so it wicks slowly and unevenly and leaves a tide line in the work. Cotton fibre, neutral pH, no optical brightening agents — brighteners fluoresce under examination lighting and will confuse anyone later trying to read the object under UV. Blotters are consumable and should be treated that way: once a sheet has taken up paste or shows a tide line it is contaminated and goes in the bin, because the next thing it touches will get whatever the last thing left behind. Twenty-five to a pack for that reason.
