Binder’s Board, Grey — Pack of 10 Sheets

Description

Dense, uniform grey board of the kind boards have been cut from for two centuries. It is made by calendering rather than laminating, which is the property that matters: a laminated board delaminates at the fore-edge after twenty years of handling, and a calendered board does not. It cuts clean on a shear, takes a bevel, and stays flat when one face is pasted provided the other face is counter-lined — counter-lining is not optional on anything above 2 mm. Grain runs the long dimension of the sheet and is marked on the pack; boards must be cut with the grain running head to tail in the finished book or the case will bow across the first humid week. Supplied flat in tens, interleaved. Store flat and never on edge.
