Description

Blunt-tipped needles sized for linen thread and for going through a hole an awl has already made. The blunt point is the specification, not a compromise: a sharp needle finds its own path through the fold and will pierce the thread of a previous station, locking the sewing and tearing the section when it is pulled up. A blunt needle follows the hole you gave it. The eye is rolled rather than punched so it does not cut the thread as it is drawn, and the shank is short enough to work inside a section without fouling the swell. Twenty-five to a pack because they are consumable — a needle that has been bent straight once should be retired. Match the number to the thread: 18 for 18/3 and heavier, 20 for the general run of 25/3, 22 for fine repair work.
