Description
A wide, very soft goat-hair brush for surface cleaning: lifting dust off a text block, clearing debris from a gutter before a repair, sweeping a bench clear without dragging grit across it. Goat hair is chosen for softness — the whole requirement is that the brush moves dust without burnishing the surface or driving grit into it, and any bristle stiff enough to be efficient is stiff enough to abrade. Set in a plain wooden ferrule with no metal at the working end, so there is nothing that can contact and mark a surface if the brush is laid flat. Wash occasionally in warm water with no detergent and dry flat. Keep it for clean work only; a dusting brush that has been near adhesive is a contamination tool.
